The Gem City Bands rehearse on Tuesday nights, with the Jazz Band practicing from 6:15 to 7:45, followed by Concert Band rehearsal from 8:00 to 9:30. Rehearsals are typically held in the lower level meeting room of St. John's Lutheran Church at 23rd and Peach Streets. Perspective members should contact the band at 814-899-8467. You may also feel free to come to a rehearsal and see what the groups are all about. It is a friendly bunch that has lots of fun and makes great music.

Currently, the band is especially in need of percussion, trombone, oboe, bassoon, tuba, and french horn.

What do I need?
You will need your own instrument and music stand. The band will provide the music.

What is my commitment?
You should be able to attend regular band rehearsals on Tuesday nights and perform at the various concerts throughout the season.

What is the cost?
There are no membership fees or dues.

What do I wear for concerts?
The bands have adopted a casual, yet uniform look. A Gem City Bands polo shirt will be provided for you. You will be expected to purchase khaki pants, and black dress shoes.
