Gem
City Jazz Band to Present Spring Concert
The Gem
City Jazz Band — formerly known as the East Erie Turners Concert
Band — will present its spring concert on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
at St. John Parish Center, adjacent to St. John Lutheran's Church,
2216 Peach St.
Directed
by Tim McKinney, Gem City will perform standards, such as "Moon
Indigo," "Theme from New York, New York," "Battle
Hymn of the Republic," and assorted jazz selections. Duane
Kraus will be the featured vocalist on two songs.
Admission
is free, but donations will be accepted. The show was originally
scheduled for March 16, but postponed due to a snowstorm. Pray there's
no repeat!
