Gem City Concert and Jazz Bands to Present Concerts

GEM CITY BANDS -- spring concerts at St. John Parish Center, adjacent to St. John Lutheran Church, 2216 Peach St. -- free and open to public; donations accepted -- 825-9292; www.gemcitybands.org:

· CONCERT BAND -- Tues., May 10, 7 p.m. -- 36-member band directed by Betty and Tim McKinney -- program includes "Pirates of the Caribbean,""Sinatra in Concert,""Home Stretch Galop," marches.

· JAZZ BAND -- Tues., May 17, 7 p.m. -- 21-member ensemble directed by Tim McKinney performs "Scotch and Soda,""Killer Joe,""The Shadow of Your Smile" and other jazz selections -- also featuring vocalists Duane Kraus and Gary Flick.
